During the first audition round in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Vision of Love hitmaker Mariah Carey has just confirmed that there was a conflict between her and co-star American Idol judge, Nicki Minaj.
On Thursday, October 4, Mariah Carey told The View host Barbara Walters that Nicki Minaj has threatened her life. Walters said that Carey has hired extra security to make sure that Nicki doesn’t get violent. Carey has also told Walters that Minaj “has not apologized, but they have since been at meetings with producers and judges,” and after the meeting on Wednesday Minaj warned them that they may be fighting again. Carey responded, “No, we will not.”
Walters revealed to her audience that there were multiple people who overheard Minaj mouthing off, “If I had a gun, I would shoot the b**ch” after Mariah and Nicki fought during the filming of American Idol auditions earlier this week.
Nicki responded, tweeting, “Hey ya all. Let’s just say nicki said smthn about a gun. people will believe it coz she’s a black rapper. Lmao. I’ll then hit up Barbara n milk it. Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment though. Lol @ the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz.”
Walters invited Minaj for an interview in The View show to explain her side about the feud between her and Mariah Carey but Nicki tweeted, “I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters coz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave. I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to your face that nicki is the best judge we’ve had since Simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn.”
