Legendary folk rocker John Fogerty will be celebrating his 68th birthday and he’s inviting his fans to join him on his celebration by staging a rare one-off concert at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre on May 28th.
Save this date because it’s not just an ordinary celebration as Fogerty is also set to release his latest album, Wrote a Song for Everyone.
It will be his ninth solo project after disbanding from his group Credence Clearwater Revival. The album features collaborations with the singer-songwriter along different musicians of different genres. Some of the names included are Bob Seger, one of his contemporaries, performing Who’ll Stop the Rain, rock band Foo Fighters for the song Fortunate Son, Keith Urban doing Almost Saturday Night,, Kid Rock performing Born on the Bayou, Miranda Lambert and Tom Morello doing Wrote a Song for Everyone and Brad Paisley doing Hot Rod Heart.
The concert will be broadcasted live on America’s Axs Tv which stars at 8:30 p.m. PST.
American singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder is set to have a concert next month that will be held near the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel, the day before the game takes place at the Superdome. Other performers include Gary Clark Jr. and many more.
Wonder will be included at the Bud Light segment which is promoted by many celebrities.
Justin Timberlake will also perform elsewhere for a pre-Super Bowl concert, after a long-awaited return. The concert will take place after Celebrity Beach Bowl. Pitbull is also invited to perform while Snoop Dogg, and Neil Patrick Harris will take part in the activities.
Alicia Keys will start out the Super Bowl XLVII at the Superdome before the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens showdown. She will sing the national anthem, while Beyonce will later lead the halftime show.

Bruce Springsteen will be honored by MusiCares two days before the Grammys, not for his 40th anniversary in the music industry but for his exceptional artistic achievements and his charitable efforts.
The MusiCares Person of the Year tribute is one of the most prestigious events wherein proceeds from the show will raise money for emergency financial, medical, and personal needs.
